This image was rendered to test tile rendering feature in Mandelbulber program
Original resolution of this image was 32000x32000 (I must downscale it because DA has resolution limitations).

Some interesting numbers:
- RAM used: only 250 MB (it's not a joke)
- rendering time: 20 hours
- image file size (PNG 16-bit): 2,5 GB
- image saving time: 15 minutes

32k x 32k is insane.

Looking forward to trying the tile rendering, though I'm going to have to start watching the electricity bill!

A nice new Ivy Bridge CPU is looking all the more attractive...

Nice, I rendered 8k x 8k images in low mem mode, but the Depth of Field took an insane amount of time (almost 8h for 1h30 rendering 'only'). I can't think about it in 32k resolution

Rendering time of depth of field glow in 4-th power of image size. When image resolution is 2 time higher then there is 4 time more pixels and for each pixel blur area is 4 times higher (blur radius is 2 times higher). So rendering time of DOF is 16 time higher!
