Great image! I recently started to explore Mandelbulber and it is a wonderful software with so many possibility's. Have been using Mandelbulb 3D for a while before. When will this new version of Mandelbulber be released to the public? Am really curious about trying this new formula.

There is needed about 2 weeks to finish and release new version. If you are working under Linux you can try even now (pull source from Github and compile it)

What kind of problem have you encountered?

Crash a load. My screen is 1366x768. I think it requires a bigger screen with a dual-core processor, as only the left quarter of the window decorations are shown. It also fails to compile. So I just gave up on it.

You are right. The software has bigger requirements. There is recommended at least full HD display, quad core CPU and minimum 4GB RAM

Very clever. Is the glass sphere a superimposed primitive, another material, or a piece of the brick texture?

It's superimposed primitive with assigned another material (glass)
